Phase one: Start Up
The main objective of this phase is to establish the soil upon which The Newmarket Mosque will be planted. Important criteria for this phase include:
1) purchasing a property that is:
- in a strategic location in the Newmarket Aurora area.
- easy to find
- close to the highways (for passer by)
- large enough for future growth
2) Repair old house
- ensure that structure is safe
- renovate to suitable state (i.e. carpet, walls, washrooms)
- repair severely damaged roof
Phase Two: Settling In
During the second phase, we plan to establish our mosque. Key objectives in this phase include:
1) Obtaining all required building and site plan approvals from the Town and other approval bodies.
2) Renovating the old house on the property to safely accommodate 200 persons (including sisters area)
2) Start a Sunday Islamic school.
3) Raise sufficient funds to:
- complete renovation
- pay-off remaining interest free debt from purchase of property ($300,000.00)

Phase Three: Looking into the Future
This is the phase that, with a grace and mercy of Allah, will carry our firmly established community into the future. This will no doubt be divided into smaller manageable chunks - a 3 phase process of its own - once the phase nears kick-off. Key elements in this phase include:
1) Building an Islamic day school
- a facility complete with gym, class rooms, prayer area (masalla)
2) Establish evening adult education programs
3) Host regular community events
- continue to pull the community together
